Biography

 

Newfoundland’s Greta & The Goldfish are the beloved, spunky youngsters of the St. John’s music scene! Led by songwriter Greta Warner, this indie-rock quartet bursts with energy and style. Warner’s lyrics paint vivid pictures of personal struggle, with a spark of whimsy and insightful wit.

Greta is backed by the bright and playful leads of Aidan Langer. He brings forth an eclectic range of influences, and adds a fresh dimension on guitar and synth. Bassist Christian Spencer, and drummer Raine Miller supply the tight and punchy grooves that hold it all together!

Since the release of their debut, the band has been featured in Exclaim!, Dominionated, and Downhome Magazine.

They’ve been heard on college radio stations across the country, reaching as high as #24 on the !earshot National Top 50 chart. They have also appeared on radio programs, such as CBC Radio’s ‘First Listen’, and VOCM’s ‘Profiles’.

Most recently, the band were nominated for MusicNL’s ‘Rock Artist/Group Of The Year’ award, and showcased at their Music Celebration Week conference for the second year in a row!

Currently, the band are working on new material, with aspirations to take their music on the road in the near future!​
