The process of making this EP was very different from how we made our first album. Previously, we mostly pulled from Greta's back-catalogue of material. On this release, everyone was keen to work on new songs.

This resulted in the band having a greater influence on this one; songs ended up more energetic, and ideas were more spontaneous. We could also be more intentional with themes and structure.

Much of the record deals with the breakdown of Greta's then-recent long-term relationship, and each song is a loose representation of the five stages of grief.

In spite of this emotionally charged subject matter, a sense of fun still comes through, in large part due to how enjoyable the music was to make!
